新たなアプローチの治療薬【APC-100】概要


アルツハイマー病の脳ではアミロイド前駆タンパク質(APP)が異常に生産されることで、幹細胞がグリアに分化してしまい、神経細胞を作り出す事ができなくなってしまう事が私達の先の研究で分かっていました。そこで、APPを正常値に戻す薬物フェンセリンとKS-217を併用する事で、アルツハイマー病の病態を持つ脳でも神経を再生させることに成功したのが、APC-100です。

世界初のアルツハイマー疾患修飾薬となる可能性が有るだけで無く、アミロイド前駆タンパク質の遺伝子を多く持つダウンシンドロームの治療薬となる可能性もあります。
